I don’t usually reuse pictures I’ve posted before, but I think the weather this week calls for an exception to that rule.

A scene from a summer evening in Boston.

Photographing kids is almost too easy, but hard to resist. I’ve heard of a local photography teacher who admonishes her students at the beginning of her course, “No kids, no pets, no flowers!” Last Friday night I went into Boston with a friend on a photo expedition, and we ended up spending a lot of time photographing kids playing in the splash pads near the waterfront. I was having a hard time deciding which of these shots was my favorite, so I decided to include them both.

One of our favorite events of the summer, the New Bedford Folk Festival returned last week after a two year Covid-induced hiatus. The weather was perfect, and music once again filled the streets of the old whaling port.

The Japanese Garden at the Sonnenberg Estate in Canandaigua, NY is a serene spot on a summer day.

This hawk seemed to be standing guard on a headstone at Mt. Auburn cemetery.

I shot this about a month ago, when the maples were still leafing out.

Inspired by Renoir (https://www.clarkart.edu/artpiece/detail/Onions), and Efren’s Mom’s taco sauce.

I found this sign while wandering around Martha’s Vineyard last weekend. Since I was on foot, I was in no danger of exceeding the speed limit.
