A quiet spot in the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden.

80 degrees and sunny at the end of October?!?!?! What a gift! We had to grab one last taste of summer before the weather reverted to normal. The next day was rainy and 50 degrees.




While reading to my grandson recently, I learned that birds are “the dinosaurs that never died out.” I can really see that in the pterodactyl-like profile of this heron.

Remember that sunset picture from two weeks ago? This is what the next morning looked like.

Is it just me, or are there always more spider webs around this time of year? Any spider experts out there?
