One of the delights of summer. Almost enough to make up for the weather.

One of the delights of summer. Almost enough to make up for the weather.

A friend and I had planned to go on a photo shoot together this week. But the steamy weather wasn’t conducive to walking around outdoors. So we decided to go to a hotel/conference center in Cambridge to see what we could find there. It was fun and challenging to look for pictures in a place I wouldn’t usually think of as visually interesting.

An homage to Georgia O’Keeffe, one of my favorite artists.

I spotted this couple during a recent trip to the Arnold Arboretum.

Jumble of stones and tide pools
Where ocean meets land

A recent weekend featured Dragon Boat races on the Charles River and a Parisian Street Fair, including the “Grand Prix de la Baguette” (open to professional bakers only), and a sourdough boule competition (open to the general public).

Happy Fathers Day.

This week’s post is dedicated to two people I looked up to.
My brother Jerry, who would have turned 80 this week –

And our Dad, who gave us both our lifelong love of photography.

A book can take you anywhere you want to go.

I drove one of these for many years, but I think the inspection sticker may have expired on this one.
